Ukrainian national team goalkeeper Anatoli Trubin called the result of the match with the Azerbaijani national team in the qualifying round for the 2026 World Cup, which ended in a draw (1:1), a disgrace.
Report reports that the 24-year-old goalkeeper made a statement to the local Tribuna publication after the match.
He considered it a very bad result:
"What impressions can there be? I think it's a disgrace. Because you need to win such matches, defeat such weak opponents. If we want to move forward, we had to win. Everyone should think about it individually. The next training camp will be decisive."
It should be noted that the Azerbaijani national team lost the first match to Iceland (0:5), and Ukraine lost to France (0:2).
