Iran's "Tractor" club has arrived in Saudi Arabia against the backdrop of the Middle East war and confirmed that it will play "Shabab" (Al-Ahli) in the 1/8 final stage of the AFC Champions League on April 14. Sport24.az reports that this was reported by the AP agency.
"Tractor" traveled a long way to reach Jeddah, where the game will be held. The team first traveled by land from Tabriz to Turkey. Then he flew from Istanbul to Saudi Arabia by plane and arrived at his destination on April 12.
"Our situation is known to everyone. 90 minutes against "Shabab" will be difficult for us," said "Tractor" head coach Mohammad Rabii at a press conference.
The team has not played an official match since February 28, as the Iranian championship has been suspended.
The coach added that "we have great ambitions to win the upcoming matches and reach the Asian final. From tomorrow, everyone will see our high level, despite the serious difficulties we have faced recently."
It should be noted that the match between "Shabab" and "Tractor" will start today at 17:45 Baku time.
