According to the source, the 31-year-old footballer, who previously left "Chelsea", is ready to play for the London club for less than a third of his previous salary (325,000 pounds sterling (373,000 euros) per week). However, Sterling's poor form, who has not played a single game this season, may deter "Tottenham".
The striker's contract with the London club was until June 2027. Last season, Sterling played on loan at Arsenal.
