The top scorers of the Azerbaijan II League have been determined.
Idman.Biz reports with reference to the press service of the Professional Football League that the third-tier team of the country's championship was restored in 2023 after a long break.
The first part of the 3rd season has ended in the competition, which has been held under the PFL flag since then and is called the II League.
Cavid Imamverdiyev scored the most goals during the period when the competition was called the II League. The football player, who played three seasons in three different clubs - "Kur-Araz", "Guba" and "Sheki City", scored 65 goals.
Tural Gurbatov, who scored 57 times in "Shahdag Gusar" and "Khankendi", is second. Elvin Nasibov, who spent two seasons in the II League, not three like the leaders, also left behind the 50-goal mark. The football player who played in "Fuzuli", "Jabrayil" and "Shafa" scored 51 times.
In total, 14 players scored 20 or more goals.
