Former Real Madrid and German national team player Toni Kroos spoke about the Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo's boycott of the Saudi Arabian Championship.
It is worth recalling that the 41-year-old striker missed Al-Nasr's last games due to disagreement with the league's transfer policy.
Idman.Biz reports that Kroos said in his podcast that the Saudi Arabian League was almost unknown to a wide audience until Ronaldo came to this championship.
"The Saudi Championship was a new and interesting place, but now the person who made it popular is being disrespected. I am sure that if Cristiano leaves this league, interest in it will decrease significantly," the former German midfielder noted.
It should be reminded that Ronaldo moved to Al-Nasr in the winter of 2023. The striker's contract with the Saudi club is valid until the end of June 2027, and his market value is estimated at 12 million euros.
