A well-known Spanish specialist in orthopedic surgery and traumatology has revealed the reason for the increase in similar injuries in La Liga.
"Young players in La Liga are starting to suffer from the same unpleasant injury - pubalgia," doctor Ripoli said, Lent.az reports, citing foreign media.
"This injury mainly affects explosive players who rely on speed. Some believe that the reason for this is related to early physical stress and rapid body growth. The solution lies in continuous prevention, adequate rest and muscle recovery," Ripoli explained.
Pubalgia is a chronic condition characterized by pain in the groin and abdominal area. Barcelona striker Lamin Yamal was recently diagnosed with it.
Real Madrid midfielder Franco Mastantuono has also reportedly been diagnosed with the same diagnosis. Athletic Bilbao striker Nico Williams has also been diagnosed with it.
