The 2024/25 season in the I League of the Azerbaijani championship has ended for three football players.
Idman.biz reports that this is due to the penalties imposed by the AFFA Disciplinary Committee.
After the end of the XXIV round match "Difai" - "Mingachevir", the home team's player Riad Abbaszadeh and the guests' player Elmaddin Mammadov were suspended for 4 matches for receiving a direct red card for aggressive behavior. Both clubs were fined 300 manats.
"Jabrayil" player Tapdig Ahmadov was suspended for 3 games for receiving a direct red card for unethical expression or action in the match against "Baku Sporting". The club was fined 200 manats.
Since there are 3 rounds left until the end of the championship, Ahmadov will miss the current season's games. Mammadov and Abbaszadeh will watch not only the last 3 matches, but also the first round of the next season from the sidelines.
