Bayern's 35-year-old striker Thomas Müller has criticized transfer fees in modern football, calling them inflated and absurd. Sport24.az reports that the experienced footballer spoke about this in an interview with CBS:
"What is 150 million euros? It's just a number in negotiations between clubs. Who can understand what 150 million means? You can't buy Neymar for that money, but you can plant a lot of trees. How do you objectively assess this amount? You can do a lot of useful things with 150 million."
It should be noted that the current transfer record belongs to Brazilian Neymar. PSG paid Barcelona 222 million euros for his transfer in 2017.
