Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois is out for six weeks with a thigh injury. Sport24.az reports that the Madrid club's official website announced this.
Initially, it was reported that the Belgian goalkeeper had a torn muscle in his right leg. However, after a medical examination today, it was revealed that Thibaut has a torn rectus femoris muscle in his right thigh.
As a reminder, in the Champions League Round of 16 match against Manchester City (2-1), the Belgian goalkeeper was replaced by Ukrainian Andriy Lunin after the break. It was reported that Thibaut suffered the injury during pre-match warm-ups.
It should be noted that Courtois has played in 41 matches in all tournaments this season, conceding 39 goals. He has kept a clean sheet in 15 matches.
