The details of the failed transfer of Rza Jafarov, the goalkeeper of the Azerbaijani national team and "Neftchi", to Romanian "Dinamo" have become known.
Idman.biz, referring to Sport24.az, reports that the 22-year-old goalkeeper was interested in playing for the Bucharest representative.
Even a fundamental agreement was reached between the club and the goalkeeper, and the current captain of the "white-blacks" was about to agree with "Dinamo".
However, the transfer failed because "Neftchi" changed its attitude at the last moment. The Baku club initially gave positive signals for this transfer and indicated that they were ready to release Jafarov. But at the last moment, the capital representative changed his mind and the negotiations between the parties reached a dead end.
Under pressure due to the approaching season, "Dinamo" officials decided not to waste time and turned to another alternative. Thus, the Romanian club signed Cameroonian national team goalkeeper Devis Epassi instead of Rza Jafarov.
