Things are not going so well for Azerbaijani national football player Mahir Emreli at the German club Kaiserslautern. Sport24.az has received new information about the striker.
It turns out that the forward, who went to the national team's camp for the first qualifying round matches of the DÇ-2026, had a slight injury at that time. Nevertheless, Emreli appeared in the match they lost to Iceland (0:5) and the match they drew with Ukraine (1:1).
Most likely, this did not please Torsten Lieberknecht, the head coach of the II Bundesliga representative. It was for this reason that the Azerbaijani player fell victim to the expert's anger and was not given any chance for the next matches.
Emreli's name has not even been included in the application for participation in the last four matches since returning from the national team.
