The reason why the grass cover of the Tovuz stadium is not at the desired level has been revealed. An employee of the arena, who monitors the grass cover but did not want to be named, told Sport24.az about this.
According to him, the reason why the grass cover peels off in some places of the field during the game is that the roots of the grass are thin, and there is a reason for this:
"You can see for yourself that problems occur more in the part of the field closer to the reserve players' bench, both in the match with "Shamakhi" and "Neftchi". The reason for this is that less sunlight falls on that area. This affects the hardening of the grass roots. The situation is normal in other parts of the lawn. But there is nothing to be afraid of. Everything will return to normal over time."
It should be noted that the artificial turf of the Tovuz city stadium was replaced with natural grass this summer.
