The reason for the departure of former Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca has become known. Sport24.az reports that Ben Jacobs, an employee of Give me Sport, reported this.
According to the source, tension within the club began several months ago.
The reason for this was disagreements between Maresca and the Board of Directors. The coach repeatedly clashed with the management regarding the starting lineup and substitutions. Officials reportedly interfered with the work of the coaching staff.
Maresca also believed that the roots of Chelsea's failures lay in deeper issues - the owners' approach to the business and the overall vision for the team's development. However, the club was not going to change its current course.
It should be noted that the London club is currently 5th in the Premier League and 13th in the Champions League.
