Legendary Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon ended his career late. The legendary Italian footballer played until the age of 45 and then returned to his native club Parma.
Lent.az, citing foreign media, reports that many have attributed this to his loyalty, love of football, or simply the physical ability that allowed him to continue his career.
But Buffon humorously explained why he played for so long.

For example, at the presentation of his autobiography, "Decline, Rise, Decline, Rise" in London, Gianluigi said: "I always felt a 1 percent hope of winning the Golden Ball."
His closest approach to the top prize came in 2006, thanks to his phenomenal performance at the victorious World Cup, where he took second place. But the cup went to Fabio Cannavaro.
