The match ended with a 3:1 victory for the visitors.
With this result, the Azerbaijani national team finished third in the group with 7 points. Ukraine, with 9 points, took first place and advanced to Group B. Israel finished second with 8 points, and the Netherlands finished fourth with 4 points.
Belgium, without any points, finished last and was relegated to Group D.
