The UEFA ranking of countries has been updated after this week's matches in European competitions. According to Sport24.az, Azerbaijan has earned its first coefficient in the 2025/2026 season.
This was made possible thanks to "Sabah" drawing with "Celje" in Slovenia in extra time in the return leg of the first qualifying round of the UEFA Europa League (3:3, main time 2:3). Recall that "Sabah", who lost 2:3 to their opponent in Baku, said goodbye to the tournament. The capital's representative will continue the fight in the Conference League.
"Sabah"'s draw earned our country a coefficient of 0.125. Azerbaijan (17.250) is currently ranked 29th.
30th Bulgaria has a coefficient of 16.500, and 28th Ukraine has 17.875.
It should be noted that England leads the UEFA ranking with a coefficient of 94.839.
