According to Lent.az, citing foreign media, the main bet is on Joan Garcia. Ter Stegen does not want to leave, but the club may use his injury and recent surgery to remove him from the squad.
The problem lies in the La Liga rules: if the goalkeeper misses less than 4 months (the German has said he can return after 3 months) and "Barcelona" tries to partially deduct his salary from the payroll for the sake of other players, they could be fined 14.4 million euros. This will directly hit the spending limit.
