"I thank all the management, fans, and the team. Everyone was there for us in such difficult games." These words were said by Sabah's football player Tellur Mutallimov in his statement to Sport24.az.
He shared his thoughts on the game in the final of the Azerbaijan Cup, where they defeated Qarabag:
"Our team suffered a lot. We had a lot of draws in the championship. We were conceding goals in the last minutes. But we still had a chance in the cup. We fought to the end in the championship as well. It only became clear 2 rounds before the end that our Eurocup chance was gone. We tried to focus all our strength on the cup. Thank God we won the cup."
Mutallimov spoke about scoring the winning goal:
"I scored a goal in the last minute. I am very happy that I contributed a goal to the team's victory. I can sometimes stand out in games with Qarabag. The kids said this is your game, they were still expecting a goal, they believed. Thank you. I am very happy with the goal we scored in the last minutes."
The player also spoke about his goals in European cups:
"We will try to make Sabah fans happy. Let's wait and see which team we will face. We will try to fight no matter which team we face."
