"Qarabag" has demonstrated the strength of Azerbaijani football to Europe.
According to "Report", this was stated by the president of "Qarabag", Tahir Gozel.
He made a statement to journalists during the team's welcoming ceremony at Heydar Aliyev Airport:
"This is a great victory. We dedicate it to our people and President Ilham Aliyev. We are proud. "Qarabag" has a system and years of experience. This is the result of unity in the club. We have not lost in 9 matches in European Cups. We are a magnificent club".
It should be noted that "Qarabag" defeated "Benfica" in Portugal with a score of 3:2 in the first match of the main stage of the Champions League. This went down in history as the first victory of Azerbaijani representatives in the main stage of the continent's most prestigious club tournament.
