– I thank my players, they worked hard and achieved a good result. There was tension in the players in the first half. After the break, we didn't give the opponent a chance. They almost couldn't create a chance. At the end of the first half, I told the players to believe in themselves, that they can play better. For us, every game is like a final. Today, we also showed that we can play.

– After a series of defeats, the fans are calling for your resignation, and there have been reports that the club is already looking for a new head coach. How did this affect you?

– It's like that everywhere. If the team loses, the coach is to blame. That's our job. I understand the fans, they want results. I met with them and asked them not to do this. When this happens, the atmosphere inside the team is also disturbed. There was a meeting in the club, officials participated. This had a positive impact on the team.

– The Azerbaijan national team has won the "FIFA Series-2026" tournament. Do you think this victory should be exaggerated, or what? What do you think?

– There were good games. Aykhan Abbasov was able to rally the team. Psychologically, such victories are important. The team should not be criticized at the moment. This is national and everyone should support them.
