Breel Embolo opened the scoring for the home side in the 13th minute. Benjamin Nygren equalized in the 33rd minute. Granit Xhaka restored Switzerland's lead in the 60th minute with a penalty. Dan N'Doye in the 75th minute, and Johan Manzambi in the 90+4th minute scored goals – 4:1.
This was Graham Potter's first game as head coach of the Swedish national team.
