Newcastle defender Sven Botman has undergone surgery for a fractured cheekbone.
According to "Report", the club's press service reported this.
The 26-year-old Dutch footballer was injured in the English Premier League match against Sunderland (1:2). He was taken off the field in the second half of the match with a head injury.
The defender is expected to be out of action for a certain period of time.
It should be noted that the defender has scored 2 goals and 1 assist in 31 matches in the 2025/2026 season.
