Four people suspected of robbing the Louvre museum were detained on October 29 at the "Stade Jean-Bouin" stadium during the "Paris" - "Lyon" match, which was part of the X round of the French championship. This was reported by the FranceInfo TV channel.
The arrest marks a new stage in the investigation into the robbery that took place on October 19. Jewelry worth approximately 88 million euros was stolen from the museum and its whereabouts are still unknown. Previously, two suspects were identified in connection with the work at the crime scene.
According to the Paris prosecutor, more than 100 investigators have been assigned to the case. The investigation is examining both the preparation activities of the robbers and the actual crime.
