Sunderland's 25-year-old footballer, Wilson Isidore, has decided to wear the jersey of the Haiti national team. Sport24.az reports that he shared this on his social media account:
"I am proud to be part of the team now and to represent our people and our country. Together we have the opportunity to make history and experience exciting adventures."
Internationally, Isidore has previously represented France in various youth age groups.
It should be noted that the midfielder has played 30 games for Sunderland this season and scored four goals.
The Haiti national team is in the same group with Brazil, Morocco, and Scotland in the WC-2026.
