Significant structural changes are expected within AFFA during the summer months. According to reliable information obtained by Sport24.az, the composition of the organization's Executive Committee will be updated.
AFFA is preparing to part ways with some members, and it is likely that well-known veteran figures of Azerbaijani football will be involved in their place.
Currently, one seat is already vacant on the committee. Zaur Akhundov resigned from the Executive Committee at his own request on November 25, 2025, and his application was accepted. His place remains vacant so far.
The expected changes indicate the formation of a new approach in AFFA's management structure and the possibility of names who know the football community more closely being represented in the decision-making body.
