Sumgayit will announce the name of its new head coach in the coming days.

All of them are foreign coaches. We are very close to signing a contract with one of them. We have almost reached an agreement on the terms. We may announce his name on July 2-3, but not now. The process will take at most the first week of next month. I don't think the appointment will be delayed beyond that.
Today I can say that our new head coach will be quite well-known. I believe it will be seen as a surprise appointment. I'm not saying all over the world, but he is a well-known coach in Europe."
It should be noted that Sumgayit started last season with Samir Abasov. After he left for Neftchi in October, the team was entrusted to Vagif Javadov. The young specialist, who signed a 2.5-year contract, was dismissed in May of this year. The representative of the "City of Youth" took the 8th place in the Premier League last season.
