The decision regarding the head coach of "Sumgayit" club, Sasa Ilic, has been finalized. According to information obtained by Sport24.az from a reliable source, the "chemists" will part ways with the Serbian specialist at the end of the season.
Since the team's results in the current season have not satisfied the club's management, the head coach's expiring contract will not be renewed.
The fact that the 48-year-old coach's monthly salary is 25,000 manats also raised expectations, but the results did not justify this trust.
"Sumgayit" has not been able to win for 11 games in both the Misli Premier League and the Azerbaijan Cup. The team last defeated "Karvan-Yevlakh" on January 31 with a score of 2:0.
Currently, "Sumgayit" is in 8th place in the championship with 32 points, and it is expected that a new head coach will manage the team at the end of the season.
