An incomprehensible incident occurred in the Austria-Cyprus match.
İdman.biz reports that a hole appeared near the home team's goal in the second half. The Austrian goalkeeper's hand fit into the hole, which could easily accommodate a football.
Later, the players approached and were able to easily place their feet up to their ankles in the hole. Naturally, it was impossible to play with such a defect on the field, because if a foot fell into this hole, the football player could get a very serious injury.
Stadium staff urgently brought buckets of soil to fill the hole.
The match ended 1:0 in favor of the Austrian national team.
Interestingly, this is the second time the field has collapsed during Austria's home matches. The first time such an incident occurred in 2022 in a match against Denmark, but at a different stadium.
