Rashad Eyyubov, the head coach of the Azerbaijan national team composed of under-21 football players, shared his thoughts with the AFFA press service regarding the match against the Gibraltar national team within the qualifying round of the European Championship.
Idman.Biz reports that he said he was satisfied with the team's preparation for the match:
"We had a useful preparation process. We had conversations with the players about both the mental side of the game and tactical issues. Overall, I am satisfied with the children's focus on the match and their preparation during the training camp. In addition, we also involved Sattar Tahirzadeh in the team. I hope he will have a debut opportunity".
The head coach emphasized that despite playing away, they will take the field to win: "We are expecting a motivated opponent. I am sure they will put all their strength into this match. The players know my attitude about this issue well. We may be stronger than the opponent in some aspects, or, on the contrary, we may appear weaker in certain aspects. But regardless of who the opponent is, absolutely no team should want to win more than us".
It should be noted that the Gibraltar-Azerbaijan match, which will be held on November 18 at the "Europa Point Stadium", will start at 22:00 Baku time.
