Elvin Ajdarli, Executive Director of "Karvan-Yevlax" football club, has released a statement regarding legionnaire Samuel Durrant, who arbitrarily left the field two days ago in the match against "Araz-Nakhchivan".
Idman.Biz reports that the statement notes that the player in question is disciplined and left the field due to injury.
"In response to the information spread regarding the episode that occurred in the match against Araz Nakhchivan, we state that our football player was injured during the match. At the same time, since the team's player substitution limit has already been reached, he was forced to leave the field in order not to increase the risk to his health.
As a club, the health of each of our football players is more important than anything else for us. This incident was in no way assessed by us as arbitrary behavior. We would like to note that the football player in question is one of the most disciplined and professional players in our team. He has always gained great sympathy within the team with both his personal qualities and his behavior. As a club, we will continue to be committed to the unity and professional principles of our team," the statement said.
It should be noted that on February 21, in the 83rd minute of the match against "Araz-Nakhchivan", "Karvan-Yevlax"'s legionnaire Samuel Durrant arbitrarily left the field without any substitution or the referee's instruction, claiming that he was injured, and went to the dressing room. After that, Fuzuli Mammadov's team was forced to continue the rest of the match with 10 players. Later, the football player stated that he could not undergo examinations related to his injury and that the club management was not interested in his health.
