The "Standard" - "Antwerp" match, held within the 11th round of the Belgian Pro League (the top league where Belgian football clubs compete – ed.), was suspended prematurely due to an incident caused by fans.
Idman.Biz reports that "Standard" was leading 1:0 with a goal scored by Rafiki Saïd in the first minute of the match.
However, in the 87th minute, "Antwerp" fans started throwing plastic cups at the referees. After the incident, the head referee decided to stop the match.
The match was not resumed afterwards. Now the home team ("Standard") may be given a technical defeat.
