A tragic incident at a stadium in Lima, the capital of Peru, has resulted in the death of one person and injuries to dozens.
"Report", citing "La Republica", reports that the incident occurred on April 3 during a mass gathering at the home arena of the "Alianza Lima" club.
Fans gathered at the stadium to support their team ahead of a key match against "Universitario". According to reports, a strong crush and stampede occurred when a group of supporters tried to move towards the front of the south stand.
As a result of the incident, 47 people were injured and 1 person died.
It should be noted that local authorities have temporarily closed the stadium, citing the lack of appropriate permission for the event.
