The Scottish League Cup final match has taken place, and the winner of the tournament has been determined.
Idman.Biz reports that in the decisive match held at Hampden Park stadium, "St Mirren" won the cup by defeating "Celtic" with a score of 3:1.
Marcus Fraser opened the scoring in the 2nd minute of the match, putting "St Mirren" ahead. Although "Celtic" equalized in the first half with a goal scored by Reo Hatate in the 23rd minute, in the second half, the initiative completely passed to the opposing team. Jonah Ayunga's goals in the 64th and 76th minutes secured a confident victory for "St Mirren".
"St Mirren", representing the city of Paisley with a population of approximately 80,000, has won the Scottish League Cup for the second time in its history. This is the club's fifth major title overall.
