The Spain-Georgia match of the third round of the group stage of the 2026 World Cup qualifying round has ended.
Idman.Biz reports that the match took place at the "Manuel Martínez Valero" stadium in Elche, Spain.
Yeremi Pino opened the scoring in the 24th minute, putting Spain ahead. In the 29th minute, Ferran Torres failed to convert a penalty saved by Giorgi Mamardashvili. In the 64th minute, Mikel Oyarzabal scored the second goal for the Spaniards – 2:0.
After this game, Spain leads Group E with nine points, while Georgia is in third place with three points.
In the next round, Spain will host Bulgaria on October 14, while Georgia will face Turkey away on the same day.
