Tottenham's forward and captain, Son Heung-min, has etched his name into South Korean football history by winning his first continental club tournament title. Sport24.az reports that the London club's press service announced this:
"Son, you are the first South Korean to win a title as captain and player of a club playing in European competitions. We are making history."
It is noted that in the decisive match of the 2024/2025 Europa League season, Tottenham defeated Manchester United with a minimal score of 1:0. The only goal was scored by Welshman Brennan Johnson.
