In 2019, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer claimed to have offered three players to "Manchester United": Erling Haaland, Jude Bellingham and Declan Rice.
According to Lent.az, citing foreign media, Haaland was playing for Salzburg at the time, Bellingham for Birmingham, and Rice was already particularly distinguished at West Ham.
All three were young, affordable and not as expensive as they are now. But the club chose a different path.
Instead, "Manchester United" favored the famous names of that era: Cristiano Ronaldo, Donny van de Beek, Raphael Varane and Jadon Sancho.
Today the differences are huge. Haaland is one of the best strikers in the world, Bellingham is a leader at Real, and Rice is a key player at Arsenal. "Manchester United", on the other hand, is still looking for direction and support.
