The Azerbaijani women's national football team will try to achieve maximum results in the matches against North Macedonia and Hungary in the qualifying round of the World Championship.
This was stated by the head coach of the national team, Siyasət Əsgərov, in an interview with "Report".
The specialist emphasized that they analyzed the opponents:
"We will start the training camp on February 24. There are quality players in the squad of our opponents in the qualifying round. On March 3, we will face North Macedonia at home. We have analyzed the opponent, we know their strengths and weaknesses. We will inform the players about this and determine the appropriate training process. The first games are always difficult, but since we are playing at home, we will try to get the maximum result. On March 7, we have a difficult away game with Hungary. The opponent has regressed from League A to League C, where we are. It is a team with very quality players and experience. Nevertheless, we will put our maximum strength on the field. Currently, our main focus is on the home game to be held on March 3."
He said that some players could not join the camp due to injury:
"We are pleased that most of the girls invited to the squad have game practice in their clubs and are in the starting "11". Some players will not be able to join the training camp due to injury. I think that the players we have invited will fill their places."
It should be noted that during the training process, the Azerbaijani national team is scheduled to have one training session on some days, and two training sessions on other days.
