Siyasat Asgarov, the head coach of the Azerbaijani women's national football team, evaluated the training camp in Belarus and the friendly matches they played with the home team. Sport24.az reports with reference to the AFFA press service that the specialist said that he had the opportunity to test some players.
"From June 25, we were in a training camp in Minsk, we held two friendly meetings. Such preparations are very important for the national team. The main thing is that the players do not lose their game practice. In addition, we had the opportunity to test some young girls. In the second friendly game we played with the Belarus national team, our mistakes were less compared to the first match. In both matches, we gave a chance to young people newly involved in the national team. In my opinion, we performed better in the second match. Especially the first half was interesting, we could not take advantage of goal chances. At the beginning of the second half, we conceded a goal from a simple mistake. After that, we attacked for an equalizing goal and the opposing team took advantage of the gap and scored a second time. Overall, this training camp will help us a lot."
It should be noted that the Azerbaijani national team lost both test matches against Belarus - 0:3, 0:2.
