Idman.Biz reports that these words were said by Siyasat Asgarov, the head coach of the Azerbaijan national women's football team, in his statement to the AFFA press service after the away match (3:1) against the Andorra team in the qualifying round of the world championship.
"It was a very tough game for us. The opponent was playing on their home field, wanted to score points, and opened the scoring with an early goal. However, scoring the response goal immediately made our job a little easier. In the first half, we tried to take the lead in the score, we created many goal situations. We could not take advantage of the opportunities we had. After the break, we found our game. The attack we worked on in training gave us a penalty. In the remaining minutes, the control was completely on our side, the girls kept the opponent without the ball. We are happy to have won," he said.
The head coach emphasized that they want to repeat the same success in the next match against the Andorra team:
"We have to forget the away match and focus on the match we will hold with this team in Baku. Our goal in the home game is to get the maximum result."
It should be noted that our national team will face the Andorra team on April 18 at the "Bank Respublika Arena".
