Although the number of fans watching the matches of the Azerbaijani national women's football team has increased compared to previous years, head coach Siyasat Asgarov stated that this number is still not sufficient.
Idman.Biz reports that the specialist said this at a press conference held before the match against Andorra within the framework of the qualifying round of the 2027 World Championship.
"I think this is the result of the game we showed and the results we achieved. However, we are still a little disappointed when we see more fans abroad than in our country. Because the girls really want to see more spectators in the stands. This gives them extra motivation," said Asgarov.
The head coach added that he believes that as the national team reaches a higher level, the number of fans in the stands will also increase.
