"Sheffield Wednesday", playing in the Championship, has been deducted 12 points from the league table. Sport24.az reports with reference to "Sky Sport" that this is due to the club applying for external management.
Due to pressure from creditors, club owner Dejphon Chansiri decided to put the club into external management. A week before the start of the Championship, the team's players reported that their salaries had not been paid.
According to the club's press service, Julian Pitts, Kris Wigfield and Paul Stanley have been appointed as administrators of Sheffield Wednesday.
It should be noted that Sheffield Wednesday is in last place, 24th, in the Championship standings. After 11 matches, the team has -6 (minus six) points. The club, representing the city of Sheffield in South Yorkshire, was founded in 1867.
