As a result of pressure from creditors, the club's owner, Dejphon Chansiri, decided to put the club and stadium company into external administration. A week before the start of the championship, the team's players reported that their salaries had not been paid.
According to the club's press service, Julian Pitts, Chris Wigfield and Paul Stanley have been appointed as administrators of "Sheffield Wednesday".
Currently, "Sheffield Wednesday" is in last, 24th place in the Championship tournament table. After 11 matches, the team has -6 (minus six) points.
