Shaqueel van Persie, son of Feyenoord coach Robin van Persie, made his debut for the team in the Europa League main stage 5th round match against Celtic (1:3). Sport24.az reports that the striker replaced Jordan Lotomba in the 80th minute of the match.
Shaqueel van Persie signed a three-year contract with Feyenoord this summer. He previously played for the club's youth team. Although Shaqueel is a Manchester City academy graduate, he moved to Feyenoord's academy in 2017.
It should be noted that Feyenoord, with 3 points, is currently in 3rd place in the Europa League. The Dutch representative will face Romanian FCSB in the next round.
