"Shamakhi" has achieved its 56th major victory in the top division of the Azerbaijani championships.
İdman.biz reports that the team, coached by Aykhan Abbasov, defeated "Karvan-Yevlakh" with a score of 3:0 in the IV round of the Misli Premier League.
This marks the first major victory in the Premier League under the club's current name in its history. The team last enjoyed a victory with a difference of three or more goals when it was named "Keshla". On March 12, 2022, the team scored 3 unanswered goals against "Sabail" away, and moved to Shamakhi approximately one month later.
It should be noted that the club previously bore the names "Khazar University" and "Inter".
