Azerbaijan national team goalkeeper Shahruddin Mahammadaliyev explained the reason for leaving "Qarabağ" in 2023 and moving to the Turkish club "Adana Demirspor". According to Sport24.az, the 31-year-old goalkeeper made a statement about this in the "PODKAT" project.
He cited their defeat to Polish representative "Raków" in the UEFA Champions League qualifying round at that time as one of the reasons for this decision.
The player was subjected to harsh criticism for the mistakes he made in the match.
"I couldn't take it anymore. I play with emotions, and it was very difficult for me."
It should be noted that the player, who wore the uniform of the Aghdam representative from 2016 to 2023, returned to "Qarabağ" in 2024.
