"After the first round, 12 teams can be divided into 4 groups." These words were said by Shahin Diniyev in his statement to Sport24.az.
The experienced specialist evaluated the first round of the Misli Premier League:
"First of all, it is necessary to note "Qarabagh". The Aghdam representative is undoubtedly playing for the championship and is confidently moving on this path. The second group are teams fighting for a place in European cups. This list includes "Araz-Nakhchivan", "Zira", "Sabah" and "Neftchi". Perhaps "Sumgayit" can also be added there. Those belonging to the 3rd group are middle-class teams. They have almost no claims. They will neither leave the elite nor dream of European cups. These are "Shamakhi" and "Imishli".
And finally, the 4th group, where the outsiders are located. These are "Gabala", "Karvan-Yevlakh" and "Kapaz". At the beginning of the season, "Imishli" was seen among the outsiders. On the contrary, they became a middle-class team. Also, "Turan Tovuz" taking the leading position was perhaps more than we expected. These two teams were able to surprise the football community with their performance."
It should be noted that the "Sabah" - "Qarabagh" match was postponed in the first round.
