"Shafa", which is aiming for the championship in the I League this season, continues its preparations.
Idman.biz reports that the head coach of the capital club, Elgiz Kerimli, spoke about the preparation status of his team in an interview with Sportal.az.
He first talked about their last test match against "Jabrayil": "This match was important for us both in terms of the work done in the tactical plan and the staffing of the team. We are happy that we made fewer mistakes in defense in the game. However, there are still some shortcomings in the organization of attacks. We lose the ball a lot, and this prevents us from showing the game we want. We have a lot of new players and they need time to fully adapt to the team."
The young coach also expressed his opinion about their latest transfers, Urfan Ismayilov and Amir Ebrahimzade: "Finally, we transferred Urfan Ismayilov from "Gabala". He is a very high-quality football player. I strongly believe that he will be beneficial for us on the way to the championship. Yes, we have also signed a contract with Amir, who is a graduate of "Traktor". We have great hopes for him as well. In general, we trust each and every one of our team members to the end. Overall, I am satisfied with the team. We feel progress from game to game. We will have a few more test matches ahead. We will have a training camp in Gabala city between August 20-28. We will play 3 test matches there. I think we will be 70-80 percent ready for the championship game. Of course, we will try to achieve successful results in the new season as well."
