"Shafa" football club, playing in the Azerbaijan First League, has completed 70-80 percent of the work on the way to the championship.
This was stated by the team's captain, Tarlan Guliyev.
"We have already completed 70-80 percent of the work. In the next round, we will face "Baku Sporting" away. That field is extremely bad. Nevertheless, we intend to achieve the maximum result there as well. We want to formalize the championship as soon as possible. The sooner we can do it, the better for us," he said in a statement to report.az.
The 33-year-old defender also spoke about winning the "Goal of the Month" project in the First League:
"This is a joyful event for me. I thank the people who voted for my goal, supported me, and congratulated me. I was happy before the game yesterday. Defeating "Sabail" in that match was a double joy."
It should be noted that "Shafa" is currently the leader in the First League with 48 points. "Baku Sporting", in second place, has 40 points.
