A large-scale operation was carried out this morning within the scope of the investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding illegal betting activities in football. Sport24.az reports that the "Hürriyet" newspaper reported this.
It is reported that a number of football players and some club managers were detained by the police during the operation.
Among them is the well-known football commentator Ahmet Çakar. He was taken to the hospital for a medical examination.
It should be noted that the legal process regarding the detainees is ongoing.
