A scandalous incident occurred in the Eritrean national team after their 2:1 defeat to Eswatini in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifying stage.
Idman.Biz reports that seven players of the team did not return after the match held in South Africa.
It is reported that these players play for local clubs.
It is noted that the Eritrean national team has not participated in any official or friendly matches since December 2019, and has therefore been removed from the FIFA ranking list.
